Special Education

  • Our centre specializes in research related to children with special education needs, including conditions like dyslexia, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Our primary goal is to gain a deeper understanding of the neurological variances within these children and how these variances influence their cognitive and behavioral functions. Our centre focuses on investigating how the brain processes and integrates information from various sensory sources, and we explore how this process is disrupted in the development of children with unique educational requirements. This type of research can involve studying brain structure and function using techniques such as neuroimaging, as well as assessing cognitive and behavioural abilities through standardized tests and observations.
  • Our centre also investigates the role of social and environmental factors in shaping brain development and how interventions can promote healthy neural plasticity and enhance cognitive and emotional functioning in children with special education needs.
